Learn how to use the METAL element representing the LUNGS and the Breath in yin yoga

Breathing correctly effects all cells in the body. The breathe is the centre of your practice, effecting your physical body, mental /emotional state, and is essential in cultivation of QI. In this module you will learn specific breathwork protocols to use with your Yin Yoga practice and classes

Meditation for Yin Yoga

Learn how to use the WATER element to Calm and focus your mind to meditate in Yin Yoga

Mediation is the skill of learning how to work with the mind, your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. In Qigong this is known as Yi (intention) and Xi (wisdom), the yin and yang balance between emotions and logic. In this module you will learn how to cultivate attention, focus, and concertation to "calm" the mind and direct the Qi.

Stress Less for Yin Yoga

Learn how to use the WOOD element to regulate your nervous system in Yin Yoga.

Stress particularly effects the WOOD element and the LIVER organ. Learning how to manage stress is an essential skill. In this module you will learn how to self regulate your nervous system with a focus on smoothing the flow of Qi through the Gallbladder and Liver meridians

Your SPIRIT or SHEN is ruled by the FIRE element, residing within the heart space. Healthy fire Qi manifests as contentment, happiness, joy and love, a real zest for life. In this module you will learn how to cultivate the FIRE energy by working with both the Heart and Pericardium meridians

Cultivating Qi For Yin Yoga

Learn how to use the EARTH element to strengthen your Qi energy in Yin Yoga

The Earth element is where you primarily create Qi or energy and is often related to as the centre of the Qi system. No qi, no life! In this module you will learn how to strengthen your QI system with a focus on the STOMACH and SPLEEN meridian's.

5 Element Theory for Yin Yoga

Learn how to use the FIVE ELEMENTs - Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water for yin yoga

Yin Yoga is based on the five elements where each element corresponds to a vital organ which has its own meridian where the Qi flows through. In this module you will learn how to use the five elements in both the yin yoga postures and the qualities of each element, including Vital Organ, emotions, sense organ, tissues structures and key acupuncture points.

Fascia and Meridians for Yin Yoga

Learn the How Fascia and Meridians work in yin Yoga

Qigong & Yin Yoga

Learn Principles of Medical Qigong to integrate into Yin Yoga Practice.

Medical Qigong is the therapeutic use of Qigong exercises for health and wellness. The theory, principles and practices of Medical Qigong can be applied directly to Yin Yoga, which can be viewed as a Qigong practice in its own right. In this module you will foundations of Medical Qigong Practice and how it applies to yin yoga.

Sensory Enhanced Yin Yoga

How to work with Trauma in Yin Yoga

In this module you will learn how to work within your scope of practice as a Yin Yoga teacher when working with participants who have experienced Trauma. Sensory enhanced Yin Yoga is a method focusing on the participants sensory experience, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual with a focus on creating psychological safety. This then allows the participant to explore the yin yoga practices to create homeostasis, particularly within the nervous system

Incorporating Self Myofascial release and Mobility exercises into your Yin Yoga practices is a powerful way to promote the healthy flow of Qi, enhance Muscles and tendon quality, and develop a positive relationship with pain and discomfort, which is important aspect of managing chronic pain.

Stretching Science and Practice for Yin Yoga

Learn the different ways to stretch, why to do them and how they work in Yin Yoga

In this module you will learn the the How, What and Whys of the five different stretching techniques of Passive, Active Release, PNF, Dynamic and Fascial stretching. We will then teach you how to use them in your yin yoga practices and classes.

2024 Yin Yoga Therapy Dates

This is a Hybrid Course where we will meet togterh for 5 days at Eurobodalla botanic Gardens batemans Bay, and then continue with online lessons

5 Day Yin Yoga Therapy Immersion Training

Date: 28th August - 1st September 2024

Location: Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens - Deep Creek Dam Rd, Batemans Bay NSW 2536

Time: 9am -4 pm

The Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens is located a short 5 min drive from Batemans bay CBD. There is plenty of free all day parking, with the Mossy café being available for coffee and food ect.

Accommodation: you will need to arrange your own private accommodation with plenty of Air Bnbs and hotels in the area to pick from.

  • Do I need to be a yoga teacher already to enroll

    No, you do not need a previous yoga teacher to join our training. This is an initial 200 hour training, we will teach you all the things you need to know in how to practice and run a class of yin yoga with a therapeutic focus.

  • What is Qigong

    Qigong is a Traditional Chinese exercise style which is the skill of integrating breath, movement with mental skills of focus, concentration and relaxation to cultivate Qi flow. Qigong and yin yoga both employ the five element theory, mediation and energy work. Qigong has a rich history with well established principle of practice which we use in Yin Yoga Training.

  • will there be assessments

    Yes. To attain a certificate of completion you will need to complete online quiz's, participate in Yin Yoga Practices, attend 90% of sessions and design and deliver a Yin Yoga class. We will provide you more details once enrolled, however we are here to support you and help foster your development as a teacher and practitioner.

  • Can I do the training if I'm not interested in teaching

    Yes, absolutely. Many people enjoy attending Yoga training for personal development and growth, and we certainly encourage this. There is something really special about attending immersions and you can learn a lot in a short amount if time by simply experiencing the practice.

  • Will the Online classes be recorded

    Yes, all out online lessons will be recorded and be made available to students to watch. Only students will have access and at no time will the recordings be available publicly. we will be using the Zoom platform.

  • Do you offer a payment plan

    Yes. you can pay for the training as a one off payment, or on a payment plan.
